Our partnership should be a win-win

We’ll be upfront: we’re not the right partner for everyone, and that’s intentional. We work exclusively with $2M-$7M design-build remodeling firms where 70%+ of your work comes from referrals, and you want to diversify with a strong online presence.

This page will help you decide if we’re a fit. By the end, you’ll know:

If we’re not the right fit, we’ll point you toward someone who is.

What If We're Not The Right Marketing Partner?

If parts of our approach or investment ranges don’t align with what you’re looking for, we still encourage you to reach out. We know and trust other agencies and consultants throughout the remodeling industry, and we’re glad to point you toward someone who may be a better fit for your business.

Not a Fit
Generating less than $2M annually or still in startup mode, refining internal operations.
Design is secondary, or projects prioritize speed and volume over craftsmanship.
No dedicated $60k+ annual marketing budget across channels and brand assets.
Requires hundreds of leads per month to sustain a high-volume sales pipeline.
Prefers a fully hands-off approach with minimal collaboration.
Ideal Fit
$2M–$7M in annual revenue, 5+ years in business, and ready to scale beyond referrals.
Specializes in design-driven remodeling where detail and craftsmanship define success.
Invests $60k+ annually and understands growth requires long-term commitment.
Values fewer, higher-quality leads that closely resemble referrals.
Collaborative, engaged, and aligned on shared goals—especially early on.

If We're Not The Right Fit (Yet), Here's What We Recommend

If you’re under $2M in revenue, focus on dialing in your operations and referral systems first. Build your foundation, get your project management systems in place, and start capturing professional photography of your work. When you’re ready to diversify beyond referrals, come back, and we’ll be here.

In the meantime, we have a ton of content that will help you get there:

Why Remodeling Companies Choose CGN

Most remodeling companies don’t come to us looking for the cheapest agency. In fact, we are very rarely the cheapest, and very rarely the first marketing company that our clients have worked with. Probably very similar to you, you are seldom someone’s first remodeling company because homeowners need to go the cheap route to find out how expensive making the wrong choice really is.

Remodelers come to us because they want referral-quality leads online, not just traffic or rankings, but leads that actually close.

What Is a Referral-Quality Lead?

A lead who reaches out already knowing four very important things about your remodeling business:

The services you provide

Referral-Quality Lead

"I saw your kitchen remodeling projects online and that's exactly what I'm looking for."

Typical Internet Lead

"I see you do remodels. Can you just replace some windows?"

The areas you serve

Referral-Quality Lead

"I'm in [your service area] and looking for a local company firm."

Typical Internet Lead

"Can you come to [city 3 hours away]?"

Your price points

Referral-Quality Lead

"I don’t want to cheap out on this. I'm budgeting $80K to $120K for my kitchen."

Typical Internet Lead

"$80K for a kitchen? I saw it done for $20K online."

Your process

Referral-Quality Lead

"I love that you're design-build. I want help designing this and want your insights."

Typical Internet Lead

"I don't need any design help, I already know what I want."

How We Generate Referral-Quality Leads, Online

A typical referral closes at a very high percentage because they’ve practically been pre-qualified, had expectations set, and trust you because they’ve spoken to someone who has worked with you (and had a great experience). Your website should do the exact same thing. Most don’t.

Traditional Referral

High close rate, pre-qualified leads

Friend Recommends

Past client shares their positive experience

Expectations Set

They know your pricing, process, and quality

Referral-Quality Lead

Contacts you already knowing what to expect

"Working with them has changed my business. I get much better quality leads...they are good at what they do"

What Matters to You
Industry Specialization
The Lead Objective
Marketing Methodology
Relationship Model
Data & Feedback Loop
Standard Agency
Works with any industry. Learning your business on your dime.
Focuses on traffic and volume. Success = a high number of clicks.
Uses generic templates and stock photos. Your site looks like every other remodeler's.
Acts as a task vendor. They execute a list of to-dos and wait for your instructions.
Sends static PDF reports once a month showing rankings and page views.
CGN
Works exclusively with remodeling firms. We attend industry events and understand design-build software and project cycles.
Focuses on referral-quality leads. Success is a lead who knows your price, process, and service area before they call.
We research your market and ideal clients, then build a site that actually reflects the quality of your work.
Acts as your outsourced CMO. We consult on your business, teach you how this works, and lead your strategy.
Provides a custom client portal. You mark leads as qualified or not in real-time, so we both know what's working.

What It Costs To Market A $2M-$7M Remodeling Company

3% – 7% of Annual Revenue is the rule of thumb.

This marketing spend covers all aspects of your marketing, not just digital marketing. This would include hiring a professional photographer, local sponsorships, yard signs, etc.

Marketing at this level requires commitment. We aren’t going to hide our pricing because we want you to have the information you need to decide if we’re a fit for your budget. But to be clear, you need to have a budget.

Investing at least 3% of your annual revenue into marketing is the baseline. You have a lot of overhead and expenses that make your business run, and your marketing machine is no different.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've been burned by agencies before. How is this different?

We get it. Most agencies are generalists who learn your business on your dime. We work exclusively with remodeling firms. We already understand design-build software, project cycles, and what homeowners in your market care about. We’re not figuring it out as we go. Plus, our client portal gives you real-time visibility into lead quality, so you’re never in the dark about what’s working.

This system doesn’t replace your referrals. It supplements them. Your referrals will keep coming. We’re building a second pipeline you can control. Most of our clients see their referral network actually strengthen because they have more capacity to take on the right projects and do great work.

That’s fine. We can work with what you have to get the site launched, but we’ll strongly recommend hiring a professional photographer as soon as possible. Great photography is essential to showcasing your work and pre-qualifying the right clients. We can recommend photographers we trust in your area.

We don’t like surprises any more than you do. Because we use set packages as our foundation, we can be very transparent about costs upfront. The only time pricing shifts is if we need to build or rebuild significantly more pages than originally planned. If that happens, we’ll discuss it before the work happens.

Communication is a core part of our business model. We have dedicated Account Managers for each client. If a strategy isn’t hitting the benchmarks we expect, we don’t hide it. We discuss it in our monthly calls, show you the data in your portal, and adjust the plan. You’re never in the dark about what we’re doing or why.

Most remodeling sites are built to be digital brochures. We build tools that pre-qualify and sell. Usually, it’s faster and more effective to build the right foundation from scratch than to try and “fix” a site that wasn’t built for conversion.

Because we aren’t learning your business on your dime. We already know what a design retainer is, what your project cycles look like, and what homeowners in your market care about. You aren’t paying for “marketing tasks.” You’re paying for an outsourced CMO who understands the remodeling industry inside and out.

Because we build the site to weed out the wrong people. By being transparent about pricing, process, and who you are a fit for, we filter out the tire-kickers before they ever hit your inbox. Plus, with our client portal, you have the final say. You mark the leads as qualified or not, so we’re always held accountable to lead quality.
